Hey! I’m Mario Nevado, a freelance digital artist and cover designer with over 20 years of experience designing colorful and dramatic visuals for music albums, books and films. My style blends dark surrealism with vivid color palettes to create striking, emotional imagery that is hard to ignore.

Hey! I’m Mario Nevado, a freelance cover artist and independent art director from Spain with over 20 years of experience in the art trenches. My clientele includes industry leaders such as Adobe, Harlequin and Hachette, as well as more than a hundred of music bands, authors and filmmakers. Some highlights of my career include screenings of my art on the exterior walls of the MoMA and Guggenheim museums, winning an Exposé Master Award by two consecutive years, and contributing to the Emmy-nominated, 3 Cannes Lions winning spot “Dream On” for Adobe Photoshop’s 25th Anniversary, which premiered at the 87th Oscar Academy Awards.
I am passionate about turning great stories and albums into striking works of art using my signature colorful and dramatic dark surrealism.
