‘Memories Collector’ Photography Series Teaser
New photographic portrait series. Memories are not physical, and that forces us to retain them in objects as a fetichist way of remembrance.
Series shot through a painted glass: the cold veil in between reality and our memories. We are in the other side, with the item that makes us remember the another side.
I asked every model in the series before the shots to think about any memory they may had: good, bad, happy, strange… and to come to the session with an object they were saving from that situation. It’s being a great experience!
I’d love to make a really BIG series out of this, to collect a lot of memories from many people and create a giant mosaic with these pics.
Today was the first session and I had the pleasure to work again with Laura Sánchez Martínez and María Millan Lario.
Maria brought some wood flowers, very colourful. She got those in the last trip she did with her parents before they divorced when she was a child. Laura, brought a chewing gum in a bottle, she was saving it since she was a teen, which belonged to one of her first loves.
Next Thursday will be next photo-session!
P.S.: People are photographed behind painted glasses, no textures or digital manipulation added.
